E.A.S.B

Welcome to the new E.A.S.B page, where you will find all the latest information from the National Governing Body for amateur snooker in England.

The English Association of Snooker and Billiards runs all of the major amateur and junior events in England, including the English Junior Championships, the English Amateur Championship and the Pro-Ticket Tour, from which two players are awarded places on the Main Professional Circuit each year.

In recent years the Northern SC has forged strong links with the EASB, through sponsoring and hosting a number of events. This season will see the Northern sponsor all of the English Junior Championships, along with the English Amateur Championship and the Paul Hunter English Open Championship. Three of the six Pro-Ticket events will be staged at the Northern.

‘AULD ENEMY’ CLASH

England were the runaway winners of the first ‘Auld Enemy’ clash between England and Scotland at the Northern SC, Leeds. The hosts were dominant in all categories, winning 109-19 in what resembled a cricket score rather than a snooker match.

Three local players made their England debuts during the event, Sanderson Lam (pictured front row, far right) represented the Under 14s as a wildcard, while Jake Nicholson and Luke McEvoy played in the strong Under 16s team. Nicholson (back row, far left) and McEvoy (next to Nicholson) will also represent England in the Home Internationals at Pontins, Prestatyn in September.

Craig Steadman (not pictured) impressed for the mens team with back to back total clearances of 134 and 138, the highest of the weekend.
